About Wuzi Chess
Wuzi Chess, also known as Gomoku or Five in a Row, is a classic strategy board game traditionally played on a 15×15 grid. The main objective of the game is to be the first player to connect five of your pieces in a row, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The game is simple in its rules but deep in strategy, requiring players to anticipate their opponent’s moves while simultaneously advancing their own strategy.
In Wuzi Chess, players alternate turns, placing one piece on the board per turn. You typically play as the white pieces, while the computer or your opponent plays as the black pieces. The challenge comes from trying to block your opponent from forming a row of five while also working to complete your own. The game ends when one player successfully connects five pieces in a row.
This game is popular in many countries and is known by different names, such as Renju in Japan and Omok in Korea. It offers a great way to practice strategic thinking and is enjoyed by players of all ages.
