Break Out and Take Over the City
Smilodon Rampage is a side-scrolling action game where you control a powerful saber-toothed cat that escapes from captivity. Scientists manage to bring prehistoric animals back to life, but keeping such a dangerous creature locked away does not go as planned. Once the Smilodon gets free, the city becomes its playground.
The main goal is destruction. You move through the streets, attack people who try to stop you, damage vehicles, and break objects that stand in your path. The more destruction you cause, the better your score can become.
Use Claws and Teeth to Fight Back
The Smilodon does not need guns or tools. Its strength comes from its body. You can attack with powerful claws and fangs while moving through each area.
Police and military forces eventually try to stop the rampage. This makes later parts more dangerous because you are no longer dealing only with ordinary people. Armed enemies and vehicles can become serious threats.
You need to keep moving and decide which targets are worth attacking. Standing around while several enemies surround the animal can quickly cause trouble.
Complete Different Missions
Smilodon Rampage is not one endless street. Different missions give you objectives to complete, and the game also includes larger enemies and boss encounters. Other prehistoric creatures can also become part of the action.
Some areas encourage you to destroy as much as possible. Others make surviving the attacking forces just as important.
The side-view layout keeps the action easy to follow. You can see enemies approaching and decide whether to attack, move past them, or prepare for something larger ahead.
A Prehistoric Animal Let Loose
Smilodon Rampage takes a familiar city destruction idea and gives control to an animal that should have disappeared thousands of years ago.
The game does contain fighting and cartoon violence, so it is better suited to players comfortable with that type of action.
Its rules stay straightforward. Escape captivity, move through the city, fight anyone trying to stop you, destroy vehicles and structures, and complete the mission before the humans manage to bring the rampage to an end.
