Kill the Plumber turns a familiar platform game idea around. Instead of controlling the hero who runs through a kingdom and defeats enemies, you control the creatures that normally stand in the hero’s way.

A plumber has entered the kingdom and keeps trying to reach the end of each stage. Your job is to stop him.

The Flash version includes 36 story levels along with 12 bonus levels. It also features 11 playable enemy types.

The playable creatures do not all work the same way. Some move along the ground. Others have different attacks or abilities. Boss stages give you control of larger characters such as Big Ghost and King Bowler.

Stop the Hero Before He Escapes

Movement mainly uses W, A, S, and D or the arrow keys. Your exact task changes between stages.

Some levels work like small puzzles. You need to understand how the plumber moves and place your enemy in the correct spot. Other stages focus more on surviving for a set amount of time. Boss fights give you different attacks and movement rules.

The plumber behaves more like the hero in a traditional platform game. He can jump onto enemies and avoid danger. Running straight toward him is not always enough.

Timing matters. You may need to move into his path just before he lands rather than chasing him after he passes.

Different Enemies Change the Rules

Kill the Plumber stays interesting by changing which enemy you control. One character may have limited movement, while another can attack or move in a completely different way.

Some characters can jump. Others can throw attacks, explode, fly, or use heavy stomps in the expanded style of the game.

The game also includes timed challenges and boss encounters, so every stage does not follow one repeated pattern.

Getting a good result often means learning the plumber’s route. Watch when he jumps and where he wants to go. Then use the enemy’s ability at the right moment.

Kill the Plumber stands out because it takes the usual platform setup and gives control to the characters who normally lose. The main goal stays clear throughout the game. Keep the plumber from reaching his destination and use each strange enemy in the way the level requires.
