Flappy Bird

Flappy Bird is a simple flying game where you control a small yellow bird and guide it through a series of green pipes. Your goal is to keep the bird in the air and pass through as many pipes as possible without crashing. The game looks easy, but keeping the bird at the right height takes practice.

You don’t need to complete missions or fight enemies. Instead, you focus on beating your highest score. Every pipe you pass adds another point to your total.

Keep the Little Bird Flying

In Flappy Bird, the bird moves forward automatically while green pipes appear from the right side of the screen. Each pair of pipes has a narrow opening in the middle.

You must guide the bird through these openings without touching the pipes. The bird slowly falls toward the ground when you stop tapping. Each tap makes it flap its wings and move upward.

Tapping too many times can send the bird too high. Waiting too long can make it fall into the lower pipe.

Finding the right balance between rising and falling is the main challenge.

Pass Through Pipes to Earn Points

Flappy Bird uses a simple scoring system. You earn one point for every pair of pipes you successfully pass.

The pipes appear at different heights, so you cannot use the exact same movement every time. One opening might appear near the top of the screen, while the next sits much lower.

The game ends when your bird touches a pipe or hits the ground. You can restart and try to beat your previous score.

There is no final level to complete. The challenge continues for as long as you can keep flying.

How to Control Flappy Bird

Flappy Bird has some of the easiest controls to understand.

  • Mouse Click: Make the bird flap its wings and rise.
  • Spacebar: Make the bird fly upward in most computer versions.
  • Screen Tap: Control the bird on touchscreen devices.

You don’t need to hold down a button. Each click or tap gives the bird a small upward push.

Improve Your Timing

Good timing makes a big difference in Flappy Bird. The bird falls whenever you stop tapping, so you need to watch its position throughout the game.

Try to approach each opening near the middle. This gives the bird some room above and below.

Avoid clicking too quickly when the bird reaches the upper part of a gap. You also need to prepare for the next pipe before it reaches your character.

Short practice sessions can help you understand how the bird moves.

Challenge Yourself to Reach a Higher Score

Flappy Bird features colorful graphics with a bright sky, moving clouds, and a grassy ground. The small bird has a cheerful appearance that contrasts with the difficult flying challenge.

The game also rewards higher scores with medals. You can earn bronze, silver, gold, and platinum medals by reaching different score targets.

Flappy Bird doesn’t require a long playing session. You can start a new attempt whenever you want and focus on improving your score.

The simple controls make the game easy to learn. The narrow openings and changing pipe positions make it difficult to master. Each attempt gives you another chance to improve your timing and fly farther than before.
