4th and Goal 2022 drops you into a fast paced football sim. Tony Corbin built this newest edition of his gridiron series. You call every play from snap to whistle. The game drops long campaigns and focuses on quick match ups.
You pick plays from an on screen menu. You send a pass or hand off the ball. You run to break through the defense. On defense you pick a player and go after the ball carrier. A full match lasts four timed segments. Power ups and special moves give each drive a twist.
Players face friends on the same device or take on an AI rival. Team names and jersey colors give each side a custom look. The game tracks every score interception and touchdown in that session. Difficulty settings let users dial up the challenge. No in game purchases get in the way of play.
